Prescribed Qualification & Experience:

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

TEACHING STAFF IN BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES

• Assistant Professor – Biochemistry

Qualification:
a. MBBS with Ph.D. /F.C.P.S. in the relevant field from an HEC /PMC-recognized University /Institution.
b. MBBS with M.Phil. Or equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized University/Institution.
Experience:
a. Two years of teaching experience in relevant subjects in a recognized institute.
b. 04 years of teaching /research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution
Publication: Two (02) Publications are required in relevant subjects.

TEACHING STAFF IN CLINICAL MEDICAL SCIENCES

• Professor  – Neurology
  – Anaesthesia
  – Paediatrics
  – Paediatrics Surgery

Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized/registered by the HEC/PMC with recognized F.CP.S or other levels III Qualification in respective subject.

Experience: Three years of teaching experience (Post Terminal Qualification) as an Associate Professor in the respective subject is essential provided that total experience as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is not less than 8 years.

OR

Ten years of teaching experience (Post Terminal Qualification) as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject.

Publication: A total of Fifteen (15) research publications on relevant subjects, of which five should be during the last five years.

• Assistant Professor – Neurology
  – Critical Care
  – Emergency Medicine

Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized/registered by the HEC/PMC with recognized level III Qualification in a relevant subject.
Experience: Two years of clinical / teaching experience (Post Terminal Qualification) in the relevant subject in a recognized teaching institute after Level III qualification.
Publication: Two (2) research publications are required.

Application Procedure:

1. Only individuals with Sindh domicile are eligible for the positions.
2. Please ensure that the name of the post and specialty are clearly mentioned on the top right of the envelope.
3. Applicants must send their applications, along with one photograph and a set of attested photocopies of relevant documents (qualifications, experiences, publications, domicile, and CNIC), in a sealed envelope. Additionally, three current referral letters and a brief curriculum vitae should be included.
4. Applicants currently serving in the government or public sector higher education institutions should apply through the proper channel and include a copy of their N.O.C.
5. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant international qualifications.
6. Incomplete applications in any manner will not be entertained.
7. All information will be kept confidential.
8. If there is a large number of candidates for any post, a pre-interview test (MCQs) will be conducted to shortlist the candidates.
9. The Dow University of Health Sciences reserves the right to cancel any or all applications.
10. Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview.
11. Age relaxation is subject to the approval of the scrutiny committee/selection board.
12. No TA/DA will be provided.
13. All documents and experiences will be verified, and any subsequent false or misleading document will result in disqualification from the process or removal from service.
14. Every application must include a non-refundable pay order of Rs.1500/- in favor of the Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi.
