Candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized local or international university/college/institute by the HEC. Those with a Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications will be given preference. A minimum of 12 years of experience in banking, financial institutions, or credit rating agencies is required, with at least 5 years in a senior role in credit risk management or corporate/commercial banking in business or risk.

• Experience in managing remedial situations.
• Ability to recognize and address various types of risks, such as market and operational risks embedded in credit exposures.
• Capacity to handle ambiguity in credit/business matters, develop solutions to challenging credit requests, and manage conflicts.
• Decisive action in time-sensitive situations, and exercising good judgment in high-stress environments.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written, with internal and external clients.
• In-depth understanding of processes and drivers for calculating expected/unexpected credit losses, including debt rating models, IFRS 9 methodologies, and Basel parameters.
• Ability to frame risk drivers for stress testing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of legal documentation related to credit/market risk, with examples from portfolio restructuring and complex credit transactions.
• Strong communication skills to concisely address key issues and provide solutions to senior management and clients.
• Full understanding and adherence to credit policy/risk principles, recognized as a respected culture carrier of risk management.
