Join MedAsk Senior Manager of Pharmacy Operations & Supply Chain
The person in MedAsk as a Senior Manager position will be in charge of overseeing and improving all parts of the pharmacies’ operations and supply chain management. They will use their strategic thinking and operational skills to make sure pharmaceutical services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The Senior Manager of Pharmacy Operations and Supply Chain has a crucial role in keeping pharmacy services running smoothly, managing inventory effectively, and supporting high-quality patient care. This job is based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and put into action strategies, policies, and procedures to make pharmacy operations better.
- Focus on tasks like filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and improving workflow processes.
- Make sure there is a reliable and cost-effective supply chain for medicines
- Work with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to maintain proper inventory levels and minimize shortages.
- Set and enforce quality control standards and rules to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing.
- Make sure the pharmacy meets industry standards and regulations.
- Guide, mentor, and supervise a team of pharmacy professionals.
- Promote a positive work environment, encourage professional growth, and ensure staff productivity and satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and make them more efficient.
- Implement ongoing improvement projects and use technology solutions to enhance pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure pharmacy services are integrated smoothly.
Qualification:
- A Doctor of Pharm-D degree is needed to become a pharmacist.
- Having an advanced degree in Pharmacy would be an extra advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in the health sector.
- At least 6 years of experience in a management role.
- Specifically, experience in a pharmaceutical warehouse with multiple outlets, involved in distributing and supplying medicines to retail stores.
Skills:
- Good understanding of pharmacy operations, including medication handling, inventory management, and compliance with rules and regulations.
- Familiarity with technology solutions for pharmacy management and healthcare information systems.
- Awareness of market conditions, financial factors in business, and regulatory affairs impacting pharmacies.
