Join the UNDP Team as a Project Officer for Community Stabilization

As a Project Officer for Community Stabilization, you will work closely with the Chief Technical Advisor and National Technical Advisor to achieve project goals. This position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. Join the UNDP team and make a difference in community stabilization projects.

Required Abilities:

  • Design and create strategies for community stabilization programs.
  • Manage the implementation of community stabilization projects.
  •  Monitor ongoing projects and provide reports.
  •  Develop policies and proposals for community stabilization initiatives.
  •  Contribute to strategy documents, briefs, and policy dialogue.
  •  Coordinate with stakeholders, including government, civil society, and development partners.
  •  Support social inclusion and human rights programs.
  •  Oversee project implementation, including financial and administrative aspects.
  •  Supervise implementing partners, field teams, and contractors.
  •  Lead the request for proposals process and evaluate technical proposals.
  •  Prepare cost estimates and budgets for project operations.
  •  Participate in meetings and provide input to senior management.
  •  Document lessons learned and best practices.
  •  Develop communication and engagement plans.
  •  Ensure coordination and quality assurance among project partners.
  •  Organize peer learning sessions and contribute to research initiatives in community stabilization projects.

 

Education:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in subjects like Economics, Social Sciences, Governance, or any related field.

 

Required Experience and Responsibility:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation, monitoring, and program implementation at a national or international level.
  •  Bachelor’s degree is required, and relevant experience with a Master’s degree or professional qualification is preferred.
  •  Strong analytical and writing skills.
  •  Demonstrates integrity and upholds the values and ethical standards of the UN.
  •  Promotes the vision, mission, and goals of the UN.
  •  Shows sensitivity and adaptability to diverse cultural, gender, religious, racial, national, and age backgrounds.
  •  Strong ethics, collaborative attitude, and a passion for improving the lives of citizens.
  •  Ability to work under pressure and handle uncertainty.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  •  Previous experience working with public, private, and development sectors in governance, socio-economic development, and reform.
  •  Good understanding of administrative and socio-economic dynamics in Pakistan, especially in KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).
  •  Familiarity with government institutions and policy structures at various levels.
  •  Experience in policy report writing, analysis, and review.
  •  Strong understanding and application of econometrics and economic modeling.
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is desirable.

 

Language requirement:

  • Strong command of the English language, both in speaking and writing.
